He is not that weak, I mean that staff is not that light to swing like that. And look at the way that he moves his legs, trying to turn his back to attack Pitch.
This son is some damn strong corpse.
Sometimes I think that even if Jack didn’t have his powers that he probably is so used to jumping and balancing on stuff, he’d still be able to parkour the shit out of everything. I mean you figure this is a kid that probably does a lot of that balancing and tumbling just for the fun of it, without using his powers to do it. Like some kids will stand on their head randomly when they’re bored. Jack seems the type to me that can probably balance on the top of his staff without his powers too, just because he probably got bored one day and practiced at it until he could do it.
It’d be hilarious to see him depowered sometime and the bad guy thinks he can’t do anything and then he just starts jumping and bouncing all over stuff like freakin’ Tigger because he learned how to do a lot of it without using his powers just for the challenge.

Jack Frost’s staff helps him to channel the magic of winter that had really been inside of him.
And helps him to look more badass.
